Sacramento State Hornet Giving

For 60 years, Sacramento State Softball has built a tradition of competitive excellence, lasting friendships, and opportunities for generations of student athletes.

As we celebrate this milestone anniversary, we invite our alumni, families, friends, and supporters to help us build the next chapter of Hornet Softball.

Every gift, regardless of size, makes a difference.  Together, we can continue to provide our student-athletes with the resources , experiences, and the opportunities for a strong future.

Your generosity has a direct impact on our student athletes. This past year, donor support allowed us to make meaningful improvements to our program, including:

• New Technology: Installed new cameras to enhance player development, video analysis/instant replay, and coaching
• Team Building: Invested in experiences and activities that strengthen relationships, leadership, and team culture
• Gear and Equipment: Enhanced team apparel, equipment, and essential team items that support our student-athletes
• Scholarships: Invested in scholarship opportunities to help support our players and their educational goals

Coach's Impact Fund

Allow Coach Perez to direct funds in real time to the areas of greatest need within the program. This gives the program the flexibility to respond quickly to opportunities that directly impact both the student athletes and overall program success.

Clubhouse Fund

Give directly to the clubhouse fund and help support improvements to the spaces our student-athletes use every day.  Your investment will help enhance our facilities and create a stronger home for future generations of Hornet Softball.

As we celebrate 60 years of Sacramento State Softball, I want to personally thank the alumni, families, friends and supporters who have invested in our program over the years.  Our program is about so much more than wins and losses.  It is about the experience we create the relationships we build, and the opportunities we provide for young women to grow as athletes, students, and leaders.  As a proud alum, I want to thank you for your generosity and support of the program that is near and dear to my heart.  The growth up to this point has been tremendous, and I am honored to boost us forward into the next chapter of Hornet Softball. Stingers Up!

We would also like to thank Don Mashburn, in honor of his wife Ronee, for his amazing contribution to our program in 2022. Don and Ronee have supported the Sacramento community by investing in hundreds of young softball players, giving them the coaching, opportunities, and encouragement to grow as athletes and as people. The Don and Ronee Mashburn Endowment Fund will continue to support Hornet Softball for years to come.
