Sacramento State Hornet Giving

INVEST IN HORNET TENNIS. BUILD OUR FUTURE.

Sacramento State Men’s Tennis is building toward an exciting future. As we prepare for a new chapter in the Big West Conference, our goal is to compete at the highest level, develop outstanding student-athletes, and build a program our entire Sacramento State community can be proud of.

Achieving these goals requires the resources to recruit talented players, invest in player development, and provide the coaching and support our student-athletes deserve.

Your generosity can make a meaningful difference in the future of Hornet Tennis. Every contribution helps us build a stronger, more competitive, and more connected program.

MESSAGE FROM HEAD COACH MIKUS LOSBERGS

Sacramento State Men’s Tennis has been a huge part of my life for more than a decade. I came here as a student-athlete, returned as an assistant coach, and now have the privilege of leading this program as Head Coach. I want to give our players the best possible opportunity to succeed, both on and off the court.

I believe we have the potential to build something special at Sacramento State. My goal is to develop our players, compete for championships, and create a program our alumni, donors, parents, and supporters are proud to be a part of.

Your support helps turn that vision into reality. By investing in Hornet Tennis, you are investing in our student-athletes and the future of our program.

OUR TOP PRIORITIES

1. Scholarship Support - Recruiting and Retaining Top Talent

Scholarship support is essential to building a competitive college tennis program. Recruiting talented players is highly competitive, and the ability to offer strong scholarship packages can make a significant difference in attracting top student-athletes to Sacramento State.

To compete with other programs, we need the resources to recruit high-level players, build greater roster depth, and compete consistently against the best teams in our conference and across the country. A deeper roster also creates stronger competition in practice and pushes every player to improve.

Your investment: Help us attract talented recruits, strengthen our lineup, and build a team capable of competing for conference championships.

2. Live Streaming and SwingVision - Connecting Our Family and Improving Performance

Our players have family, friends, and supporters all over the world who want to follow their journey and watch them compete. At the moment, we do not have a live-streaming setup at our courts. We want to change that! Live streaming would allow families and supporters to follow our team from anywhere in the world and stay connected to our players throughout the season.

We also want to invest in SwingVision subscriptions to improve player development. Its video analysis and performance statistics subscription that allow coaches and players to review matches, identify weaknesses, evaluate progress, and build more effective training plans.

Your investment: Help us bring live streaming to our courts and provide SwingVision access to support data-driven player development.

3. Student-Athlete Development - Building a Championship Culture

Developing a competitive program requires investing in the student-athlete experience beyond match day. Additional resources for training, travel, equipment, competition preparation, and individual player development help our student-athletes maximize their potential and their experience as a student-athlete.

These investments create opportunities for our players to grow, compete at a high level, and represent Sacramento State with pride.

Your investment: Help provide the resources and opportunities our student-athletes need to develop their skills, prepare for competition, and achieve success on and off the court.

HOW YOUR SUPPORT MAKES A DIFFERENCE

Contributions can help advance our priorities, subject to university giving policies and fund designations:

• Scholarships: Recruit talented players and build roster depth.
• Technology: Provide live streaming and SwingVision video analysis.
• Coaching: Strengthen our coaching staff and improve player development and college experience.

BE PART OF OUR FUTURE

Building a successful college tennis program takes a team effort, both on and off the court. Our alumni, former players, parents, donors, and supporters are an important part of the Sacramento State tennis family.

Every contribution, regardless of size, helps us move closer to our goals. Whether you support scholarships, technology, or coaching, your generosity can make a lasting difference.

I invite you to be part of this journey as we create more opportunities for our student-athletes, strengthen our program, and compete for championships.
