The Men's Tennis Annual Operating Fund covers a large variety of expenses specific to the Men's Tennis program such as, recruiting costs, nutrition expenses, academic support, equipment, and travel.
Message From Head Coach, Kevin Kurtz
I ask that you consider giving a gift to the Men’s Tennis program. We want to give each and every student athlete on our team the best possible college experience.
Our first priority…New Benches
We would like to raise funds to be able to purchase four new benches for our courts. The benches that we currently have block the view of our spectators wanting to watch the match. This will give our spectators a better view to watch our athletes compete at the highest level.
Our second priority…Swing Vision
Swing Vision which is a live stream service. It would allow parents, fans and former players to watch our home tennis matches. It also cuts out the time between points so players can watch their match in 15-20 minutes. The players statistics can be saved for every match or practice. Each player would have access to all recorded matches and statistics to watch whenever they want.
Our third priority…iPad Minis
We would like to invest in 6 iPad Minis with a stand so that we can mount them on the fences to rewatch matches and practices.
Why are donations necessary?
Our goal is to raise money for live stream capability for home matches, equipment and scholarship support. The live stream is a huge recruiting tool for the program and a great coaching opportunity for current athletes to watch film of their matches. Additionally, we hope to engage our fans, student-athlete families and alumni through the livestream so they can watch all home matches and feel connected to Sac State Tennis throughout the season.
