Note from Head Coach Cami Hubbs

The 2017-2018 season brings many changes and new opportunities to the Sacramento State Women’s Tennis program. With much historical success, the program is looking forward to continuing with the championship culture and creating a culture of excellence as we grow. Our job and goal as coaches is to provide the best experience possible for the members of our women’s tennis team. In order to do this, we are asking for help in raising funds to improve our outdoor facility on campus and enhance the overall experience for the student athletes. Any donation helps and is greatly appreciated! Go Hornets and STINGERS UP!

Giving to Sacramento State Women's Tennis program

Allows the program to continue to compete at the highest levels of winning Big Sky Championships

Immediate Funding Applied To

The money raised will go directly to the Sacramento State Women's Tennis needs. Our first need for our home opener against Nevada on February 3, 2018, is an outdoor speaker system. This speaker system will provide music for pre-match warm-ups, announcing of the line-ups, and the playing of the national anthem. After the speaker system is purchased an installed, we also need to get high-altitude tennis balls for our travels to conference matches that play in higher elevation. Only one or two cases are needed, but it's essential to our preparation! Finally, we would love to get some video cameras to record our matches for evaluations and other technology to enhance the student athletes development and performance.

Why are donations necessary?

Though we are well taken care of by the department, we are lacking when it comes to a complete outdoor facility. With our current foundation, we have the capability to have one of the best facilities in the country. Contributions like yours are necessary to have a state of the art facility that competes in our region and eventually, nationally. Our first goal was reached with the help of the University and the Athletic Department in the resurfacing of our courts this past summer. Now we are looking to revamp the atmosphere of matches by adding a speaker system. Down the road we will eventually look to do more seating, a scoreboard and lighting for the courts!
